On This Day April 27, 1998, the Rock for the Rainforest benefit concert was held at Carnegie Hall in New York City, USA. The event, hosted by Sting and his wife Trudie Styler, has been held biennially (formerly annually) since 1991 to raise money for the Rainforest Foundation Fund and Rainforest Foundation US.
